Sports Bra Manufacturing: Support Levels, Fabrics, and Fit Testing

Sports bras are among the most technical garments in activewear. Support level, strap geometry, and fabric modulus must work together—or returns spike quickly.

Match construction to impact level

  • Low impact: Pullover silhouettes with elastic underband support.
  • Medium impact: Racerback or crossback straps with wider elastic bands.
  • High impact: Encapsulation panels, wider straps, and reinforced wing seams.

Fabric selection matters

Seamless nylon/spandex tubes reduce chafe for studio wear, while double-layer mesh combinations improve breathability for HIIT collections.

Fit testing on real bodies

Size runs should be evaluated across at least three fit models per key size. Bounce control, strap dig, and band ride-up are logged before bulk approval.

RAS Sportswear offers sports bra sampling from 50 pieces with full private-label branding options.
